Our Story

Po'boy was founded in 2017 by Tom and Cat in a small trailer at the Sundeck! Their exceptional take on fish and chips and their homage to the New Orleans staple the po'boy sandwich were an instant hit in Margate and they were soon moving into the cabin next door and inviting Beanie on board! The tastes and talents of these three enthusiastic foodies have brought a unique offering to beach eats and have transformed the seaside tradition of fish and chips to a gourmet delight. With an incredible team, stunning sea view and the best vibe in town all the food is made and served with love!

To us, Creole means the coming together of cultures, so we take flavours we love from around the world and serve them to the glorious melting pot of people down in sunny Margate! 

Wherever possible we work with local suppliers, a strong relationship with the produce and the people is at the heart of what we do. Our fresh fish comes from Jason at Fruits de mer in Broadstairs, our fruit and veg from Cliff at Nash Farm and our signature po'boy buns from Steve Gadd at Staple Stores.
